Letter to the Editor
Dear Sir:
I read Harut’s Sassounian’s article (”Turkish Textbooks Brainwash Students by Denying Genocide Against Minorities”) with great interest since it’s an on-going topic of discussion. Interestingly enough, when my father was around, he had a wish that someday Armenia would become independent. Regrettably, he never lived long enough to see this happen. My father was the President of the Iranian Armenian Society. Many many years ago, he was so devoted towards Armenians, no matter where they came from, that we were a bed and breakfast place where people would come and my parents would house them the best way they knew how! Now it’s my turn to see the day that Turkey admits this horrible history they have conveniently concealed. For me, my time is limited for sure, but we’ll see what the future will bring.
