| On April 24, Los Angeles City Hall was illuminated in the colors of the Armenian flag to observe the Day of Remembrance in honor of the victims and survivors of the Armenian Genocide.
Council President Krekorian led the Council in recognition of Armenian American Heritage Month. The Council heard from Dr. Ann Karagozian, Director of the UCLA Promise Armenian Institute, and from Dr. Shushan Karapetian, Director of the USC Dornsife Institute of Armenian Studies. The Council also witnessed a thrilling performance of traditional Armenian dance by the Gevorkian Dance Academy. |
