‘Monsieur Aznavour’ to Open 2025 Armenian Film Festival

Announcing the Venues for the 2025 Armenian Film Festival
On the occasion of Charles Aznavour’s birthday, the Armenian Film Society announced that “Monsieur Aznavour” will open the 2025 Armenian Film Festival with its Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday, September 3 at the historic Alex Theatre.
“Monsieur Aznavour” is a musical biographical drama film written and directed by Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade, and follows the life of Charles Aznavour, portrayed by Tahar Rahim, from his humble beginnings as the son of Armenian immigrants to his rise as an internationally beloved singer and actor.
The Armenian Film Society is also unveiling the venues of the 2025 Armenian Film Festival. Join the organization in Glendale, California from September 3 to 7 as they celebrate their 10th anniversary.
The opening night at the Alex Theatre on September 3 will mark the start of the Armenian Film Festival, but it’s also the final event of the century for the historic Alex Theatre, on the eve of its 100th anniversary.
