Prof. Talin Suciyan to Lecture on ‘Outcasting Armenians’ at Glendale Youth Center

The Glendale Youth Center will host Professor Talin Suciyan for a public talk titled, “Outcasting Armenians: A Powerful Conversation on Survival, Memory, and Resilience.” The event will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 7 p.m.
Prof. Suciyan is a distinguished historian and associate professor of Turkish Studies at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Her groundbreaking research examines the lives of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire and modern Turkey, focusing on themes of denial, marginalization, and survival after genocide.
Her work casts a critical light on survival amidst denial and marginalization, while highlighting the resilience of Armenian communities.
Prof. Suciyan is the author of “The Armenians in Modern Turkey,” “Outcasting Armenians: Tanzimat of the Provinces,” and the forthcoming “Armenians in Turkey After the Second World War.”
