Russian gymnast Aleksandra Semenova seeks to represent Armenia in int’l championships
YEREVAN (ARMENPRESS) — Russian gymnast Aleksandra Semenova plans to represent Armenia in international championships, her coach has said.
Semenova, 26, won gold at the 2014 World Championship of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
The athlete’s mother and coach Viktoria Tekel revealed her intentions to compete under the Armenian flag to Tass news agency.
“Aleksandra plans to compete under the Armenian flag. She is already a mature athlete, and of course she really wants to participate in international championships,” Tekel said.
