Seven Armenians in new chess classification table
YEREVAN (ARMENPRESS) — FIDE has published the chess ranking table for July.
Armenia has four representatives in the men’s ranking table. Haik Martirosyan ranks 66th, Shant Sargsyan – 82nd, Gabriel Sargissian – 90th, Hrant Melkumyan – 91st.
Levon Aronian, the former leader of the Armenian men’s chess team who now plays under the US flag, is currently ranked 18th in the world.
Elina Danielianis 60th in the women’s ranking, Anna Sargsyan is 75th and Lilit Mkrtchianis 77th.
