St. Sarkis Armenian Church to Celebrate 4th Anniversary in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA – St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church of San Diego will celebrate its Fourth Anniversary with a banquet at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club, 15150 San Dieguito Road in Rancho Santa Fe, under the auspices of Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church, and Very Rev. Pakrad Dz. V. Berjekian, Parish Priest. The banquet will take place Sunday, February 1 at 1 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the church’s ongoing operation to support the growing Armenian community of San Diego, including its youth program. Musical entertainment will be provided by Shant Tanielian.
“We are excited to celebrate the anniversary with our vibrant St. Sarkis community,” says event chair Taline Tokatlian. “So many community members are participating in the life of the church, and we look forward to even more.”
St. Sarkis is the only Armenian Apostolic Church in San Diego, serving as a cultural, spiritual, and social center for the region’s Armenian-American community. The church has provided worship services, spiritual support, cultural preservation, educational programs to generations of families in San Diego and beyond.
