US President Trump Praises President Erdoğan at Iran War Summit

President Erdoğan attended the Iran war summit in the US, where he was attending the UN Summit. US President Trump spoke highly of Erdoğan: “Erdoğan is a wonderful person and a very good friend of mine. My friend from Turkey, he’s a real tough guy. Don’t mess with him, he’s tough.”

On the other hand, Trump said, “Steve and Jared had a very productive meeting with Iranian mediators today. Let’s see what happens. I think there’s quite a lot of momentum for them to reach an agreement. Everyone is telling us that. Hopefully they’ll do the right thing soon before it’s too late. You know, one day it will be too late and we won’t have the chance to let them survive as a nation. We think the situation with Iran will be over after the midterm elections.”
