Zelenskyy delays Armenia, Azerbaijan trip as Baku reportedly withholds green light
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has postponed his visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan due to the decision of the Baku authorities, Radar Armenia reported on March 1.
Media reports last week suggested that the Ukrainian leader was planning to visit Armenia in the coming days.
The date of the visit has not been officially confirmed.
Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine in Armenia Valeriy Lobach neither confirmed nor denied the information about Zelenskyy’s visit to journalists.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Feb. 12 that since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Armenia has not been an ally of Russia.
However, Pashinyan refused to answer whether the Armenian police would act on the International Criminal Court’s warrant for the arrest of the Russian dictator if Vladimir Putin came to his country.
