80% of Armenia’s population does not support adopting a new constitution

Similar results were obtained from a poll conducted by the Focus alliance of Eurasian sociologists. At the same time, 29% believe that the guilt for the captured Armenians lies with Armenia’s authorities, 27% with Azerbaijan, and 18% with Russia.
As for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s initiative to develop and put to a referendum a new Constitution at the demand of Azerbaijan and Turkey, where Artsakh and the Armenian Genocide shall not be mentioned, according to the survey results, 79% of Armenia’s population is fundamentally against it.
It is noteworthy that the idea of European integration of Nikol Pashinyan’s government also does not have a particularly positive response. According to the survey data, if the referendum on EU membership were held this Sunday, 40% would vote against and 23% for. About 20% said they would not vote. The number of those undecided on this matter is about 10%.
