AEF Enhances STEM Education in Ararat Region with Comprehensive Support Programs
Ararat Region, Armenia – The Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF) announced its continued support for STEM education through the ARPA Institute Stemar Educational Program at Ararat High School and Masis Elementary-Middle School N2. This initiative is designed to elevate the quality of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, fostering innovation and critical thinking among students in these regions.
The ARPA Institute Stemar Educational Program aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the modern world. By integrating comprehensive STEM curricula, the program enhances the educational experience, preparing students for future academic and career opportunities. AEF’s support includes providing state-of-the-art educational resources, professional development for teachers, and ongoing mentorship for students.
The program at Ararat High School focuses on creating an engaging learning environment with advanced STEM tools and resources. This includes modern, specially designed and made in Armenia Science Kits, interactive learning modules, and access to a network of STEM professionals who guide and mentor students. The aim is to foster a culture of inquiry and exploration, encouraging students to pursue STEM fields in higher education and beyond.
At Masis Elementary-Middle School N2, the emphasis is on building foundational STEM skills from an early age. The program introduces students to basic concepts through hands-on activities and real-world applications, making learning both fun and meaningful. Teachers receive specialized training to effectively deliver STEM education, ensuring that students receive the highest quality instruction.
“For a modern society to become a world-class productive and prosperous nation, a well-designed and implemented educational program is of paramount importance. Moreover, in this digital age, STEM education is a crucial component of curricula, without sacrificing arts and social science,” said Hagop Panossian, Ph.D., President of ARPA Institute. “Thanks again to the AEF Board for helping the ARPA Institute in its STEM educational endeavors.”
“Our commitment to enhancing STEM education in the Ararat Region is part of AEF’s broader mission to provide young Armenians with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving world,” said Serop Beylerian, AEF Board President. “We believe that by investing in education, we are investing in the future of Armenia.”
AEF remains committed to promoting educational excellence in Armenia. Through the ARPA Institute Stemar Educational Program, AEF is not only enhancing the quality of education in the Ararat Region but also guiding students in elementary and high school to explore their academic interests and potential career paths. This initiative helps students focus on what they want to study beyond high school, setting a strong foundation for their pursuit of higher education. By encouraging them to think about their future majors and careers, AEF contributes to the development of a skilled and knowledgeable future workforce. This aligns with AEF’s broader mission to support education and empower young Armenians to achieve their full potential.
