Archbishop Ajapahyan charged with call to overthrow Pashinyan

Yerevan (panorama.am) — Criminal proceedings have been launched against Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, the head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
The Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed to Panorama.am that the criminal case was opened on June 17.
According to the official statement, the cleric has been charged with making public calls to seize power in Armenia under Article 422.2 of the Armenian Criminal Code.
