Armenia, Fresno discuss trade, investment and agricultural cooperation
Armradio.amDeputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Tigran Gasparyan received a delegation from Fresno, California, led by Mayor Jerry Dyer on October 1, the Armenian Ministry of Economy said.
The delegation included Armenia’s Honorary Consul in Fresno Perch Apkarian, as well as several members of the Fresno City Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, Gasparyan presented Armenia’s economic priorities, including diversifying exports, increasing productivity, attracting investment and promoting the export of high-value-added products.
The sides then discussed potential areas of cooperation in trade and investment, intensive agriculture, the development of industrial clusters, and the application of modern technologies in manufacturing.
The importance of organizing bilateral business-to-business (B2B) meetings was also emphasized as a means of facilitating experience sharing and strengthening business ties between the two sides
