TEHRAN –The president of the Armenian Red Cross Society, David Nersisyan, has expressed interest in buying the medical and relief products manufactured by the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS).
“We are willing to use Iranian-made products,” he said, acknowledging that the products are of high quality.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the head of the IRCS, Pirhossein Kolivand, in Tehran on Sunday.
The Armenian official attended the International Congress of Relief and Rescue, Health and Mass Gatherings Management in Arbaeen which was held in Tehran on August 1 and 2.
Highlighting that “all national societies share the same objectives,” Nersisyan went on to express readiness to enhance collaborations with the IRCS in different sectors.
Kolivand, for his part, announced the IRCS’s readiness to share knowledge, expertise, as well as products with the Armenian Red Cross Society.
The Iranian Red Cross Society has high capacities for manufacturing medicines, rehabilitation, and medical equipment, as well as other relief items, Kolivand added.
