Armenia’s Aleksandra Grigoryan wins European youth weightlifting championships
The representative of Armenia, current European champion, Aleksandra Grigoryan, won a gold medal at the European Junior (U20) and U23 Championships of weightlifting being held in Poland.
In the women’s 55kg Junior competition, Grigoryan lifted a combined weight of 200 kg (85 kg + 115 kg).
Armenia’s first gold medal at the European Junior and U23 Championships was won in the men’s 55kg competition by Zhora Grigoryan, who had lifted a combined weight of 233 kg (103 kg + 130 kg).
