Azeris called for a boycott of the COP29 in Baku, in front of the White House
Washington — On October 29, a group of Azerbaijani émigrés organized a protest in front of the White House in Washington, due to the presence of political prisoners in Azerbaijan, calling for a boycott of the COP29 climate conference to be held in Baku.
They demanded that Baku release all political prisoners. The participants of the action displayed the photos of the political prisoners. According to human rights groups, there are 319 political prisoners in Azerbaijan.
