Body of missing Spanish mountaineer found on Mount Aragats
Yerevan (Armenpress) — Armenian search and rescue teams have found the body of the missing Spanish mountaineer on Mount Aragats, the Rescue Service said in a statement.
The body was found at 10:15 local time.
Multiple search and rescue teams including a helicopter were dispatched to the scene for the operation.
The mountaineer was part of a 9-man team that was hit by an avalanche on March 11.
8 mountaineers survived the avalanche and were rescued.
