Glendale, CA – The Edward Hosharian Foundation announced its upcoming “Portraits of the Homeland” concert with composer and conductor Greg Hosharian, accompanied by the Armenian Pops Orchestra, on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Alex Theatre in Glendale.
“Portraits of the Homeland” will feature a full 40-piece orchestra in collaboration with the Voice of Hope Collective Gospel Choir. This concert will showcase a fusion of Armenian music with elements of jazz, rock, and traditional holiday melodies.
All proceeds from the concert will benefit the Edward Hosharian Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to honor the legacy of the late Maestro Edward Hosharian. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting and preserving Armenian music by providing financial assistance to college students of Armenian descent who are pursuing studies in music or composition. These students carry forward the passion and dedication that Maestro Hosharian exemplified, ensuring that his musical legacy continues to inspire future generations.
“We are incredibly excited to bring this unique concert to the community,” said Greg Hosharian. “It’s more than just a performance; it’s a celebration of our heritage, a fusion of diverse musical traditions, and an opportunity to support young musicians who will carry on this rich cultural legacy.”
