Election Advice to Naturalized Armenian-Americans
Think why you left your country of birth and immigrated here. Most of you like me who used to live in a Middle Eastern country (or any other), was very unhappy and dissatisfied with the country of his/her birth, because these countries were basically ruled by an autocrat or a king or an absolute monarch. That ruler did not allow any criticism or descent whatsoever from the citizens who were considered subjects.
In an autocratic system the people don’t have the right of ethnic assembly or freedom to teach in their schools their own culture or language.
Higher education is very limited and highly competitive with few opportunities for employment.
Many positions in government or military are only available to certain class of citizens, not religious minorities. The dress code in some countries, such as head cover for women, is mandatory and punishable by the Morality Brigade.
When a religious minority group wants to celebrate a certain historic event, a special official permit is required, where permission is up to review and denial is possible without any reason or logical explanation.
On top of the above reasons, let me remind you that Trump’s policies have been very anti-Armenian in the past and will continue to be so.
Here are a few:
1. Trump as a stupid, gullible president and many leaders took advantage of him.
2. During his presidency he compromised Armenia and allowed Putin and Erdogan (his other buddy) to orchestrate the 2020 war, during which around 5,000 Armenian soldiers fought valiantly against several other nation’s forces, and died plus 10,000 were maimed.
3. During his administration Trump favored Israel, Turkey and Azerbaijan, causing the building up of Azerbaijan’s forces to commit genocide against Artsakh.
4. Trump is in league with other dictators, namely Putin, Erdogan, North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, China’s Xi Jinping and Hungary’s Orban. His plans will make the US just like the Soviet Union under Stalin’s dictatorship. His policies have made half the US population hate the other half. Trump is a treacherous American with the lowest level of humanity who is only interested in himself and his riches. He has managed to turn the Republican party into a “One Man Worship Cult.”
