Yerevan — At the closing ceremony of the World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT) 2024 in Yerevan on October 7, a message from Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, was read aloud.

Instead of the previously announced video address, Musk’s exclusive statement was presented by American entrepreneur Razmig Hovaghimian on October 7, as reported by Zartonk Media.

In his message, Musk expressed regret at being unable to attend the event in person but emphasized his intention to visit Yerevan in the future. The key announcement was the upcoming launch of Starlink services in Armenia. This move is expected to significantly enhance internet access in remote areas of the country, helping to bridge the digital divide.

Additionally, Musk revealed plans to collaborate with Armenia’s tech community in several promising areas. Special focus will be placed on projects in space exploration and the development of open and transparent artificial intelligence.
