Archbishop Martirosyan has also written screenplays for three films. The first film, titled “Arran: The Mystical Land” was released in 2019 in Artsakh, Armenia, Russia and California. The film depicted the creation of the land of Artsakh through the year 2019.
Recently, he and Ashot Poghosyan co-wrote the screenplays for the film “Prayer for Armenia” which premiered in Armenia, Russia and California.
His book “From Curse to Blessing” depicts historical accounts of St. Gregory the Illuminator and King Tiritades III. The book is written in such distinct detail that it can be used as a screenplay for a film. Each historical account includes a specific spiritual hymn chosen by Archbishop Martirosyan.
On March 27, at 7pm, the screening of the award-winning-film “Shushi: A Historical Documentary” will be screened at Armenian Society of Los Angeles. Archbishop Martirosyan has had a leading role in the creation of the film.
Proceeds from the film will be allocated to the filmmakers in order that they may commence with the preparation of the documentary film “Dadivank.”
We wish Archbishop Martirosyan health and continued success in the armenological field for the benefit of world cultural history.
