Craftsmanship Rooted in Centuries-Old Armenian History
Jardins d’Arménie’s Royal Brandy is a modern expression of an ancient craft dating as far back as 4100 B.C. Indigenous Armenian grapes are sourced from the highlands of Aragatsotn, the rocky vineyards of Vayots Dzor and the sunlit terraces of Armavir, where vineyards benefit from more than 300 days of sunshine and mineral-rich volcanic soils.
Archaeological research by UCLA scientists, known as the Areni-1 discovery, confirms that the Vayots Dzor Province in southern Armenia is home to the oldest complete wine-production facility then known —with a wine press, fermentation vat, grape remains and drinking vessels uncovered at the site.
Royal Brandy expands upon this rich Armenian tradition, creating its unique culture by utilizing a three-stage maturation process:
