Justice Todd Eddins of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii Visits Armenia
On April 10, human rights defender Anahit Manasyan received Justice Todd Edins of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii.
Welcoming the guests, Anahit Manasyan presented the directions of the Defender’s activities, highlighting the work carried out in the framework of the protection of the rights of women, children, persons with disabilities, the fight against hate speech, the climate of intolerance, discrimination and in a number of other areas.
Manasyan presented issues related to the protection of the rights of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh, specifically referring to the fact-finding activities carried out by her personally and by the staff.
The documented information was summarized in the extraordinary report of the Human Rights Defender, which was presented by the Defender to international organizations and actors with a mandate to protect human rights, with the advisory section proving its authenticity.
For his part, Todd Eddins thanked for the reception, emphasized the role of the Defender’s institution in the implementation of the high mission of human rights protection.
