The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and the Armenian Music Program present An Evening with Tigran Hamasyan

For one night only, internationally acclaimed pianist Tigran Hamasyan performs a free concert in celebration of the establishment of The Promise Chair in Armenian Music, Arts, and Culture at UCLA. This distinguished faculty position supports research, teaching, and performance in Armenian music and the performing arts.

Considered one of the most remarkable and distinctive jazz-meets-rock pianists/ composers of his generation, Hamasyan is a piano virtuoso with groove power.  Hamasyan seamlessly fuses potent jazz improvisation and progressive rock with the rich folkloric music of his native Armenia.
