Meet Armine Hovhannisyan – Multidisciplinary visual artist based in Yerevan

In spring, 2024, Hovhannisyan presented her artistic project “Fragmented Amputation” on Artsakh in Spain.  Her multidisciplinary artwork is now on display at the prestigious Contemporary Art Festival in HALLE 14, Leipzig, Germany — September 14, through December 14, 2024.

Hovhannisyan is currently an Artist-in-Resident at the Armenian Museum of Fresno, in the scope of the “Յշեր_WhoShare_Memories.” Initiated by the Armenian Museum of Fresno and sponsored by the Expanded Access to Arts and Culture grant, funded by Measure P, and administered by the Fresno Arts Council, this project focuses on the critical role of artistic practices and digital technologies in activating dispersed memories and history of the Armenian American communities in Fresno through a new permanent exhibition, pedagogical programs and digital archives.
